How to transfer Alaska Title
How do I transfer title of my vehicle in Alaska (AK)?
- The state of Alaska DOES require a Certificate of Title in order to transfer ownership of your vehicle.
- In order to complete the sale of your car in Alaska, you must PRINT and SIGN your name EXACTLY as it appears at the top of the title.
- License plates remain on the vehicle at the time of pick-up UNLESS they are personalized.

How to Sign and Transfer Alabama Title
How do I fill out the title for my vehicle in Alabama (AL)?
- The state of Alabama DOES NOT require a Certificate of Title in order to transfer ownership of vehicles over 35 years old. In this case, the most recent registration and a Bill of Sale is sufficient.
- In order to complete the sale of your Alabama vehicle, you must transfer your title by entering the name of the buyer/purchaser in the buyer/purchaser field. Please PRINT and SIGN your name in the seller/owner field EXACTLY as it appears at the top of the title.
- License plates must be removed at time of pickup. They may be kept, transferred to another vehicle, or destroyed.
